Hey guys...i posted about this problem about a month ago and noone really knew what to say...well it went away for awhile but recently its been doing it again. Its this really loud and annoying squeaking noise...sometimes its more like a chirping (like a bird) that comes from the back end (i think) of my truck whenever I accelerate to about 50 and let off the gas. It usually lasts a few seconds or so. I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow to have it looked at, but if anyone here has any ideas, please lemme know! :cry:

BTW i have a 99 prerunner w/the V6 and 66,000 miles.

I took it to the dealer today and the truck wouldnt make the noise with the mechanic in the car, even when I drove him around. But when I was on my way home, guess what happens??? The noise returns.

Anyone have any advice? Since the noise only occurs when I hit 45-50 mph, does it have something to do with one of my tranny gears? Anyone?

Is it a 5-speed?
My dad's 96 5-speed 4Runner has a churping sound when it is idling but not when its moving. I think its the pilot bearing.
