Loss of power
So I've had my new junkyard engine in for a couple of weeks and now all of the sudden I have no power. I have to be a full throttle to maintain 70 in 5th on the highway (@3000rpm). What should I check? It idles fine just no power.

Yes I replaced the timing belt. Or rather my mechanic did, and we reset the timing to the specs given.
No stuttering its just no pull when I press down on the throttle. From idle it takes forever to get up to any speed at all.

Should have clarified, I mean make sure the plug wires are securely connected at both ends. A loose wire will cause power loss and rough running.
Also make sure you don't have a loose vacuum line in there somewhere, that'd do it.

So check plug wires and hoses all are good. Just to test something on teh freeway to work today I put it into cruise and it wouldn't hold speed. It just slowly dropped, any idea what this means? Bad tps? Something else?

I figured it be something else since I'm having problems accelerating to begin with. Figured what ever is keeping me slow is hurting the cruise control, but I'll check that out.
