Loosing boost?

HELP!!

For a couple months now, in the dead heat of a Texas summer, I've had acceleration problems. It is as if the supercharger stops creating boost. Its only under normal acceleration like pulling away from a stop sign. Normally occurs at 2000-2500 RPM.

All of a sudden RPMs drop to 1500 and I hear no S/C whine. I pull my foot of the gas and re-apply and everything is fine. I just took a road trip to New Orleans and it did it twice while cruise control was on while going up hills.

Its still under warranty but I wanted to ask you guys first so maybe I can give the dealer an idea of whats wrong in case I can't recreate it for them.

Thanks,

Nick

BTW, I just put my front ADDCO on -- WOW!!

You sure its not transmission/torque converter problems? That'd be my first guess....I don't know how you could possibly be losing boost unless that valve that limits boost is broken possibly??

I don't think its transmission related. There is no shifting going on. It feels like the supercharger just stops working. I thought it was the belt slipping but it looks fine. Looks like I'll just have to take it in.

Check the crankshaft pulley bolt. If it has started to back out that is how it will present and you can destroy the crankshaft and pulley in no time flat.
