Does anyone know how to tighten the re-coil on the seat belts?
You-know when you take off your seat belt it just stays there or slowly recoils back and you sometimes shut the door pinching it because it didn't pull up in time.
This is driving my crazy , does any ony know how to restore this to like new?

 

forgot to mention the loose seatbelts are on '98 Limited

Yep, that works great. Biggest thing though is to clean the belt very well and then I hit mine with some ScotchGard to make it slippery so it retracts easier. Cleaning the belt makes it softer and more flexible. With the years of built up grime in the belt, it gets stiff and harder to retract.

 

Be careful when tightening your spring. Keep turning it until you feel it go "tight" (you'll feel a difference), then stop... don't try to go any further. If you force it too much, it will let go inside (the end of the spring is bent and hooked in a slot in the plastic... if you force it too much, the spring will unbend and be released from the slot... ask me how I know! If this happens, you'll have to open the spring housing up, re-bend the end of the spring, hook it in the slot, then start the spring tightening from scratch. It's a pain)

Other than that, it works great. Washing the belt also helps, and so does cleaning the belt guide (the slot that the belt goes through just above the shoulder... it often gets gummed up a bit)
