ill be the first to say it. you were beating on that 4runner a little to much for no reason. might as well to cimb some rocks, its better on your motor than that. its fine if you want to do it but i wouldnt want mine going through watery mud that fast.

nice mud man. It looks like it washes off pretty easily, the red clay here gets everywhere and clumps up underneath everything. Nice mud action.

Thumbs up

good times...
there used to be hundreds of acres of public land like that here, but the city passed an ordinance banning operation of a motor vehicle in a drainage easement. Damn the man.

Mud Hole

This would have been really impressive if you were pulling out a Jeep from the mud.

Trails that are continuously run poss more of a hazard to good ol' mommy earth. Nice copy and paste but you missed my point. I wasn?t preaching about environmental impact for I agree that a heavily used trail is just as dead as if you paved it. I was referring to the public posting of controversial behavior directly connected to the OHV community. Just because the land is owned by the county doesn?t make it Public Land to be used however you want. Running a truck through the mud isn?t going to cause any long term damage but what kind of behavior does it encourage? As a community board that does support responsible offroading, we do need to up hold the principles that we preach. It?s the internet so who knows who will be viewing it and how it will be used. Trail closers are nothing new and the efforts behind them are only intensifying with the increasing popularity of OHV use.

And just because the police officer didn?t say anything doesn?t make it a legal place to wheel. I don?t live there so leave the trashed sofa there, I don't have to see it.

Thank you lance! It's not about the legality of it, but rather how the video is seen to the uninformed. That is just the type of thing that anti "off-road" people like to use to say; "look here is some people driving around behind our buildings, in our town, on our publicly owned land and trashing land that is said to belong to everyone." Maybe it's just the where i live, but you would get some angry response if you tried to do that around here. Heck in the Portland, Seattle area people will get mad at you if you drive you truck on your own farm land saying that you are ruining the earth and have no right to needless destruction

Also I would never go with more than 5 rigs on a trail in my group and i have still had extreme environmentalists through rocks at our trucks because we were "killing" the land.

On a side after watching the video i wish i had some time to go do a little wheeling of my own.

then dont watch it. i posted for those who wanted to see a little mud. i have done way worse than that. my favorite was when we found a fiberglass boat. we pushed it out into the pond and played Battleship. we both had 30'06s but i didn't get to sink it, my friend pulled out a mossberg 3 1/2" magnum and put one directly in the bow. Man it sunk fast after that. and before anyone goes off on that what is the difference in sinking an old boat when the reservoir the pond is attached to contains 2 entire towns that were flooded to build it??

anyhow i probably shouldnt have typed all that but whatever i just gonna let it all go i dont care. It just a video of a little fun, for all of you that liked it your welcome, everyone else that didnt, Wheres your videos???

So.

You missed the point again.

This is a public forum that's supports responsible 4wheeling. https://www.yotatech.com/conduct/index.htm

Being a part of this community brings accountability of what is posted within its forums. The "tree huggers" have used pictures that were publicly posted of wheelers on legitimate trails to fortify their argument for trail closures. So you can imagine, how happy they are to find questionable pictures posted. I know out west you have a ton of trails available to you but we don't here on the east coast. If the environmentalist have their way you'll have less soon.

i dont ride trails. i play in wallers. and tree huggers need a life. i grew up in a town that solely survives on logging so i now about environmental impact. Yet i still fail to see where it hurts to stir a little mud. If any thing we are keeping it from going stagnant and growing mosquitoes.

This environmentally minded "tree hugger" has a GREAT life. C'mon out for a visit. I'll show you.

Glad to see the dialogue about this here. I realize that I am most likely in a very small minority at yotatech.com, and as such don't really feel like jumping into this discussion. However, it's good to see that some here encourage responsible recreation.

Carry on....

Actully you are in the majority, Please look in the blue navigation bar.

https://www.yotatech.com/conduct/index.htm

And I have to agree with Lance playing in the mud is fun but we should always follow the tread lightly rules. Unless you have permission from the owner or on your own private land.

Now that being said looked like fun and remember to tread lightly for the rest of us.

Ertel,

I don't care if you play, work, sleep or live in the mud. Become one with the mud, that's your choice.

Let me simplify it for you and take a different approach.
Let's say you posted pics of you wheeling thru some wallers helping to prevent a mosquito over population. A member of SavetheWallers.org sees those pics and gets his organization to close wallers to motorize vehicles because they feel that will protect it from other wheelers and you. This is what the OHV community across the USA is experiencing?

We are both on the same team, hence why we are both on this site.

Now if you have some videos of mud wrestling, that's a different story post up.

This is ironic, people on an "offroad forum" complaining about going offroad. I don't see a problem with going through the mud. however going somewhere to dump trash and stoves, tv's, sofas, and etc... definately gives "offroaders" a bad name. besides there are somany videos on the internet i dont think treehuggers have enough time or information to figure out where the site is. i don't know thats just my two cents.
