lifted 2000 4runner, weird noises!!!!
ok i lifted my brothers 00 4runner today using cornfeds 2.5" spacers. we got it done start to finish in 4 hours!! something is wrong with the rear though, it makes a clunking sound whenever going over bumps!!! all i did was remove the bump stop in the rear and put the spacers on, is there suppose to be a bushing or what?! thanks guys (and girls)

I get the same sound, try hitting your rear coils with you palms and see if you get that sound. I did and found that my right, rear coil is clanking on top with the seat. I to removed my rear bump stop and plan on putting it back or put a coil isolator pad.

It makes it allot easier if you cut two 1" parallel lines in the wheel well and bend it out...which allows you to get a socket wrench in there to lock the bolt, then with your hands just twist the shock to tighten or loosen it. Thats what a buddy and I eventualy found to work best, then once your done bend the rubber/metal wheel well section back in place. Anyways, i'd check on those mounts, they might be loose, causing the clunking noise.
