lift on the cheap

I have a 98 tacoma with 31x10.5 and the front rubs. I cut some plastics and still rubs when compressed. I thought about putting on cornfed 1" spacers to level out the front but they cost around $100 bucks. I found a 2.5 lift kit on ebay for $170. Has shackles and poly spacers. Not sure if it's any good but need to do something on the cheap. If I am going to spend $100 on 1 inch I think I might as well spend $170 on the 2 1/2 inch lift. Check out the ebay link and let me know what you think.

I am little confused as to why 31's are rubbing. I had a 98 LTD TRD with 31" BFG KO's and they never rubbed.

Tell us more about your truck.

Hey Pitch fork, Welcome to the forum. I'm in Abq too.

I have the 2.5 inch daystar spacers in the front of my 4Runner with no problems, they work fine (and cheap too)

We should get together sometime and go wheelin'

Hey man,

I have a '95 with 31" BFG Radial All-Terrain and they don't come close to rubbing.

I am thinking about getting a lift from Roger Brown...best lifts around.

My $.02

You must have after-market rims if 31's are rubbing.

If your mind is really set on going cheap you can get the Daystar 2 1/2" front spacers here for $89.95 a pair.

Why not the daystar's RTdawgs?

Did you have trouble with them?

Is the spacer from Summit poly? I do have aftermarket rims and that is why they rub.
