Know anything about these guys?

I am ordering a remanufactured 3VZE in the next day or two. I have done allot of research on tons of companies to get the engine from and have narrowed it down to 5. Has anyone had any experiance with them or heard anything good or bad about them? Any other suggestions?

1. Jasper Engines http://www.jasperengines.com
2. Engine Wherehouse http://www.enginesr.us
3. Power Pro http://www.powerpro2000.com
4. Recon Engines http://www.reconengines.com
5. Orient Engines http://www.orientengine.com

I like certain things about each one, so it is making it hard to choose. Orient is there for price, they don't detail there reman. process much. The rest have great sites and info, but are very simular. So word of mouth might make the difference here. Any help is welcomed. THANKS!!

I guy that lives not to far from me used a Jasper engine in his 92 4Runner and I've never heard him complain about it. That's about the only one of those that I've heard of.

I purchased the Orient engine last July for my 1990 4 runner - no problems
and impressive looking unit - price was better than anywhere else as well.
came with gaskets, new timing belt, new idler pulley. came with a 3 year warranty and the engine had been ran - tested and proof was provided with the engine. I have nothing but good things to say !

Talking

You have to remember...Toyota engines run forever. That's probably why not too many people have replied. That's my guess.

Jasper sounds familiar, I think they are pretty popular with Jeepers (not trying to say anyhting bad about that) and had a good rep. But I had my Jeep Scrambler 3-4 years ago, so things may have changed.

when my head gasket blew i got a new 3.0 engine from jasper and i've never had any problems with it and toyota picked up the tab for the engine and install. everyone at home says i have the fastest 4runner and the best sounding one too. Good engines my buddy has a 350 from them in his z71 and he loves it. go with jasper. good company.

I'll second the Jasper engine. We have sold and installed Jasper egines and transmissions for years and have never had a problem.

I'm thinking Jasper too. I talked to them on the phone, and they made a great impression. Also, the Jasper engine comes with a new oversized cam. Not sure how much that'll help, but every little bit counts. One thing Jasper mentioned is that if my 93 4Runner has an oil cooler, I would have to buy one to put on the new engine. He said some 4Runners have them and some don't. Any idea if I would need one for the new engine? Thanks for the help guys!!

I've seen a lot of shops around my area (Buffalo, NY) seem to install jasper. Have heard that they do a good job remanufacturing em, never heard a complaint.
