does anyone have a K&N air intake system installed on their 99-02 4Runner?

Do you have any questions? There are a handful (at least) but if you have something more specific to ask they may be more likely to post something.

If you're wondering whether or not they're worth the money you can try using the Search function at the top of the page as this modification vs. the deckplate modification have been talked to death.

FIPK and deckplate would probably be some good search words to use.

Save the money and do the deckplate mod. I've made a custom air intake and using a K&N filter, but if I plan to redo it and do the deckplate mod for the simple reason that I can actually lower the chances of water getting into my intake when playing in the water or mud. On the deckplate you simply just put the cover back on when 'wheeling, then take it off for max airflow on the road. MUCH cheaper than the K$N

Had it on my 99. Worked fine for me. However everything I have read here points to the deckplate mod with a good Amsoil filter as a better deal for you.

Try Ebay - I'm sure there are pictures there.
Either that or check out cardomain and see what's available there. Do some hunting I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Maybe even a Google image search?
