My TJM is finally here... sitting in the back of my truck as we speak.

It's going on as soon as I get home from work! Heck, I might even take the afternoon off to put it on. I'm sure as heck not waiting till the weekend. **I'm a little excited, can you tell???**

 

Awesome! Makes me want that ARB worse now! My bank account is going to go so downhill when I get to WA. There's a Central 4WD right in Spokane..haha

 

GRRR!!! I can't wait for mine now!!

haha, that's what I did. it came at about 9am, then I sat at work doing nothing but planning the installing and I made it to about 2pm and found some excuse why I had to leave early that day. I'll be surprised if you make to the end of the work day, haha. I didn't get started until 5 or so though and it took maybe 2-3 hours. done before dark, haha. it stays light here long!

 

Ain't nothign small about it!!! I took some time to look at it on my lunch break... the thing is damn near sexy. The smooth curves and clean welds really make it look good. My only diasppointment is that there are no clear tow point on it. I'm thinking about having a local welder weld on some d-ring hangers right below the rubber/foam pads where the TJM stickers are.

 

you reuse the stock hook and tow tab. that way you pull on the frame and not the bumper. Read the instructions, you'll see. If you are like me, you pulled the instructions when you loaded in your car at work and took the instructions and hardware bag back to your desk to pizz away the rest of the time there planning the big attack! haha.

 

hehe... I took the instructions, but not the hardware. No way I could have gotten the hardware bag past my boss.

 

It's a fun install because it isn't difficult and the results will have you taking double takes everytime you get out of and walk away from your truck. Actually I've been doing that ever since I got my 4Runner. I sometimes wonder if my neighbors ever see me do that. They must think I'm nuts!

 

I just wonder if my neighbors look at my 4runner in the driveway and say to themselves, "Damn! That's a bad-azz 4Runner!!!" Then I wonder, if they do think that, then why don't they walk over and tell me. haha. I think I'm finally past the stage of taking a couple pictures everyday of it.

I had all my bolts, screws, nutz and washers lined up and categorized on my desk when my boss walked in, he just thought they were for one of my designs, haha. I did have my LightForce 170's sitting up on my desk like they were mounted at the front all day when they came in though, haha.

Hehe... I do that every morning when I leave it in the parking lot as I walk away. ALWAYS take a peek over my shoulder. A friend of mine razzes me about it, but what does she know... she drives an Xterra.

I don't really care what people think... as long as they don't think I'm trying to make up for "deficiencies" in other areas.

 

Yea, I have a couple of 5x7s on my shelves from past wheeling trips. People think I'm egotistical. But I'm not, I'm just better than everyone else.

 

hehe, not me - I'm a computer programmer. For some reason people are always suprised that I can also work with my hands. Seems as though a lot of the programmers I know wouldn't know the difference between a nut and a bolt.

 

and my wife thinks I'm crazy when we go to Chili's and I park in front of the window right next to a stock runner and our table happens to be right there at the same window, all I do is stare out the window in awe. Then when we go to the mall or grocery store I cruise the parking lot first looking for a stock 4runner to park next to. haha.

 

 

hehe... I don't look for those types of spots, but if I can park next to another runner, or even a landcruiser, I will in a heartbeat - even if that spot is further away than other available spots. And I ALWAYS try to park somewhere where I can watch my rig. Unfortunately, my office has no windows, so my rig has to fend for itself all day.
