Interior leak, drivers side

I seem to have a fairly large leak on the inside of my 4Runner. I think it has been like this for a while, I just figured it was from the moisture buildup from the husky liners. Last night i just had the regular floor mats and it rained all night. I woke up to have the entire drivers side floor board, mainly against the door, soaked in water. I didnt see anything actually on the door but I figure that must be where it is coming from. The thing is, I never actually drove in the rain, it only rained while it was parked. If I have time later today I may just take a hose and see where it is going in. Until then, has anyone else have/had this problem?

Thanks

EDIT:

and no, the windows werent open

check your firewall, if you've put any new wiring through to the engine bay. mine had a leak, and it ended up being the rubber plug which goes right below the brake booster. water trickled down from the cowl, down the firewall, then into the tinyest hole through the rubber plug where i recently pulled some wires through for my IPF's.

Gah that would probably explain it. I just ran all my CB wires and wiring for the Hella 500s through there. I will try plugging that better and see if it fixes it.

Thanks

Nope, at least I dont think it has. It is in really bad shape, tons of scratches and one small chip.

Yeah, mine leaked in the same spot too. Turned out it was coming from the firewall grommet where I ran some new wires through. That was the last place I thought to look. Once I siliconed it real good, the leak stopped.
