I've got a chance to buy a wrecked '90 4Runner and I'm wondering if there is enough interest in parts to make it worthwhile? So, what parts would you want and what would you pay-bottom dollar?

It is a V6 (engine replaced under HG recall), auto, 4x4. Body is trashed, but the motor, tranny, transfer case, front and rear axles all good. It has 130k miles, 100k on motor. I'm in Alabama.

 

I want the ash tray!

I've been looking all over for one. I no longer care if it is a different color than my dash, I just want that gaping hole gone.

Well if the 3.0 is good, it will bring a good chunk for the right buyer.. Best bet would be to keep it in the truck so it can be run and tested. (used in a yard will bring $1500 all day long) The front ifs stuff is useless (maybe the front diff if it is 4:88's, the tranny?? Auto may be worth something, not sure.. Transfer case is not wanted by wheelers and is pretty strong for normal driving, worthless.. Now the V-6 rear axle is really a good find.. There is a chance it may have 4:88's if it came with the wide tire package. You can make some good cash on interior parts on e-bay... If you can get if for sub- $500 you may be able to re-coup your cost, but you may just clear your cost with a lot of work.. Now if there is something you want from the truck.. Like the motor or rear diff, it would make it worth buying.

 

Do you have any interior parts? I'm looking for 2 rear headrests (grey). Let me know if you got them?

It will have interior parts (grey), the motor might be sold. Only good body parts are front fenders, grill, hood, and front doors. It has no radio. Auto tranny, 4x4-axles good, it also has the 3rd gen 15x7 alloy wheels and 265/75/15 Goodyear street tires.
