Now, for the bad news.
Hi Everyone,
I spoke with George and he isn't into making a bunch of those pipes. He said it was cool to do one and he's glad it helped me. But, the low cost factor of doing this isn't worth his time on a long term basis. So, without that resource, I can't offer kits. Also, I'm not going to look for another source to make them, either. I wrote the Intake Silencer article with the intention of providing enough information so that the average back-yard mechanic could do this on his or her own. From the number of posts, and email that I've received (they seem to be growing growing a daily basis), it looks to me like I've succeeded in that respect.
If I were to offer kits, they would be rather expensive compared with the do-it-yourself aspect and cost of this mod. That, to me, would be rather counter-productive. With that said, I am more than willing to be a resource should you have questions and need help if you get stuck. I'd even be willing to turn a wrench or two with you if you live within a reasonable driving distance.
Good luck to anyone who tries this and please post your results if you do!
Thanks
Dr. Z
