Information needed on in Dash GPS Navigator

I was planning on getting a Garmin GPSMAP 176 but I have a chance at getting a brand new FUJITSU TEN 3 in 1 Navigator as per the pic below.

Seems to also have all the good stuff such as CD/Radio/Tape etc but its overall size will be the determining factor as it will have to fit in my 2 generation dash.

These are apparently made for Toyota and fitted to Avalons and Lexus's etc so I guess Toyota wouldn't use cr*p.

Does anyone have any info on them.

1) Anyone have their size HxWxD

2) Are they any good, LOL

3) Do they also do normal bush navigation as well as street stuff. eg, store trips routes, able to retrace route etc. He says it comes with a Oz map DVD.

4) Any thing else I should be aware of

Any help or comment would be very much appreciated.

Every time I see a review on Car and Driver or other magazines, Toyota/Lexus navigation systems always get the best rating for functionality, features, capabilities and ease of use. And if I remember correctly, they are one of the only ones with an on-board hard drive as where others(BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, etc...) require a disk for different parts of the nation.

They are also touchscreen and DVD Players.
I myself was trying to get a hold of a Matrix Navigation System, but oredered separetly it would cost over $4000, it is only a $1500 on the Matrix. Needles to say, I will not be getting a Nav. system.

Thanks guys.

I visited a Toyota dealer this morning and sure enough got a phamplet on this unit and its described as Toyota Genuine Satellite Navigation but no size details.

It includes a CD/Tape/Radio and also voice navigation. Could be interesting, some competition for Helen, LOL.

But being double din it should be OK as I have a double din cd/radio/tape player now.

The pamphlet seems to indicate it also does normal route mapping etc but it says Pacific Access provides the map DVD's so I'll give them a call to check whats available.

So far so good .
