You guys should take your act on the road

Thanks for the advice Pose. I'm new to power claying and polishing (and waxing). I can't wait to do it.

I've decided I won't waste the Griot's stuff on my JGC. Does someone have some extra Zymol they want to give away?

I'll be dropping it in week after next when I have 6 days off (with the kids). I'll also be installing my CB, new Alternator, Flex-a-lite, stereo stuff and alarm stuff (if it arrives), Roger Brown BL, and some armor from Budbuilt

Cebby,

Are you taking out some of your existing steroe stuff or just adding to it? I think we might have talked about this before but if you are replacing stuff, my stock steroe is beggin to be replaced with something else even if its used. I don't know how you are going to get anything done with the kids. I have my 2 and 4 year old boys to myself this weekend and I was hoping to at least get the BFG muds rotated, so far no luck!

Cebby,

Is BuddBuilt making you a new rear bumper? I took off my rear bumper last weekend so I could get some damage to my tailgate repaired. About half of the bolts snapped off in the center section and its toast. I have been searching for an aftermarket rear bumper for the 4Runner but I didn't think Budd had anything for the 2nd gen.

Bill,

I'm going to "TRY" to get stuff done with the kids. Where I work on my truck, my kids play in the yard nearby so I can keep an eye on them. They always want to "help" which presents it's own set of problems. All the mechanical stuff is high on the list, the stereo and alarm is a bit lower.

When I do get to it, I'll be upgrading my headunit (there's an Alpine CD head - with factory speakers in there now) - we can work something out for it. I have a nice Alpine tape deck with changer controls sitting in a drawer now. If you can score a changer cheap, I'll make you a good deal on the tape deck.

My kids hit the hay at around 7pm, so some late nights will get me some good progress... Hopefully...

I tried rotating my tires a few weeks back. I found out my floor jack is too darn short. :pat:

Cebby,

If you want a hand with the mechanicals, let me know. I'd be glad to help out but the boys would problaby have to tag along. If the kids all played togther that would work.

Ooops gotta go, a fight is ensuing.

Two squares of 2x4 or just one 4x4 square will fix that, that's what I end up doing.

Hey Cebby,

Got my Blue Top installed today. Ran new battery cable, + and -. What a royal PITA!!!! I should have just lengthened the two. I ended up using 2 gauge for battery 2 starter and 4 gauge ground since that is what was on there stock. with the new battery it actually starts faster now. I got some pics but I'll start me own thread to post my crap on.

Cebby,

Just to clairify- Did you get the microfiber drying towel or just the microfiber white towels?

I washed, clayed, waxed with the BOS Saturday. The Griots Rubber and Vinal Dressing works super as well as their BBS approved wheel cleaner. started at 7:00 AM and was done by 1:30 including a lunch break and frequent water breaks. It's been around 92 degrees with 80 humidity for awhile now.

The truck looks REALLY sharp again.

Or their great new Hub 2000 breaks down and since its all automated nothing can be done till the server gets rebooted.

I don't think I need to do anything with mine, since my terminals are the same orientation as the new blue top... Yet another reason to own a 2nd Gen...
