Idea for thermal switch?
Okay, I know the subject has been beat way beyond death, but I'm going to venture out here and ask for opinions. I've compiled most of the stuff for my Taurus fan install but all the local parts houses draw a blank when I reference the Hayden thermo switch. I've been digging through all the available info out there and I've noticed that most of the Ford/Jeep/etc. guys are running fan switches that screw into "extra" cooling ports on the T-stat housing, intake manifold, whatever. Anyone know if our Yotas have an "extra" port that I could use? I don't think there is one on the t-stat housing, but I really haven't looked as I've done most of my work so far in the dark late at night. It seems like the screw in temp plugs are more readily available in my area and would make for a cleaner more effective cooling solution. If you have an ideas please let me know because as of right now I don't have a way to switch my fan on when things get hot.
On a side note I've also successfully eliminated the "extra" power steering and alternator idler pulleys that sat behind the fan for less parasitic drag and weight reduction. I'm really ichin' to get this thing back together to see what it's like. Anyway, any help is appreciated, thanks.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
