I need a new starter
My starter is about to die...I've tried contacting TOR, whom I've ordered parts from before, but he's not responded...anyone know where I can get a deal on a starter for a 99 V6 runner?

Unfortunate incident with Toyota of Richardson has left YT without the company of TOR. Too bad he really seemed like a nice guy too...
Check out the vendor section here... there's something like 3 Toyota OEM parts supplier websites advertised somewhere on here. I've had pretty good dealings with one of them in the past.

TOR said he got shifted to maintenance manager so he no longer handles internet sales. He also said they will be happy to deal with us just when you call for parts don't say you are from Yotatech and the chump on the phone should help you.
but try this place, it's pretty much the only place i order from:
www.1sttoyotaparts.com
it's a dealership in Washington state, Bob Briggs or something like that.

What do you think? Also, what about reman.? Are they any good?
Aftermarket "rebuilt" starters are merely degreased used starters, may work for a week or month but will fail quickly.

that's them. they take a long time to ship, like 2 weeks but I always get what I order and cheap priced too. services there may be a different issue, which is beyond my experience with them.

Give www.toyotaautoparts.com a try. I've always had good luck with them. They generally have really good prices. It a Toyota dealership in Texas. There the ones that had a deal on Superchargers a while back.
