(Upadate)I need help for the new tire.

For 30mins or more, I spent search for the tire topic.

I wanna get the long tread life, good at snow, rain and good onroad.

I have to choose which one to get it in next few weeks.

Oh shoot....I put the name wrong.

1. The BFgoodrich AT
2. The Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO with UNI-T AQ II
3. The Dunlop Rover AT
4. The Michelin Cross Terrain SUV
5. The Toyo Open Country AT

===============================================
Here is update.

.....I phoned many places for tire price and brands and I went to my local tire dealer which seem reasonable price offered. Surely I asked them " Do u have the Hunter 9700 and adaptor?" He said " Of course, yes we do have the best alignment mechine".

Long discussion with a guy works at that dealer(I talked with Owner), I decided to have the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV . I told him that most 4Runner owners happy with either BFG and Dueler AT tires. He said, thoese tires are for the Off-roading and u do not do the offroading it will useless for ur need. Plus he said those tire will noiser than Michelin tire. It give u smooth ride, less road noise, longer tread life and quiet.

Oh well I was going to buy the Dueler AT but since he's honest and his reputation..I trust him so I choosed the Michelin. I think, I got a good deal that all 4 tires that I pay $200 CDN per tire.

I'm gonna put the 275/70/16, instead of 265/70/16...will it rub inside when I turn my wheel in full?

Thank you all for your participation.

I am definitely set on The Dueler A/T, I just don't get the different versions of it they have. It seems like there are 5 choices for the Dueler A/T. Any input here?

I should say BFGoodrich AT Ko's(b/c those are what I run, and couldn't be happier with) but when you mentioned snow traction, I think that you should get something diff. I went w/ the Dueler b/c I know that the BFG gets terriable snow traction, thank The Lord that's something I don't have to worry about to often here in High Point, even though I wish it would snow a little more often.

My Duelers are the best tire I've ever run, in any condition. I'm very happy with them and will probably buy another set when these wear out.

not to throw a wrench in your plans, but Bridgestone just came out with a new snow tire called the WinterDueler i think. it's made specifically for the snow but can be used as a daily driver tire. but from your list i'd go with the Dueler AT's. i love mine and it doesnt seem like they're ever gonna wear down.

The only one of those you mention that I have had is BFGs. For the uses you describe it probably isn't the best choice. They aren't that great in slushy snow or very wet pavement conditions like standing water. They have been good tires for me but I don't see much standing water on highways.

As a user of both the regular Dueler AT & the BFG KO's, I'd have to say the Dueler AT ran better worn down than the KO's do new, in most all-purpose on-pavement conditions (wet, slush, light snow, highway). And trust me, I've been doing everything I can to justify the fact that I paid more for these than I would have for the Duelers. The BFG's are by no means a bad tire (especially off-road) but I think the Dueler AT is the more versatile choice for everyday use.

The best "non-didcated snow" tire in snow that I've found is the Michelin LTX M/S. They have some sipeing which really helps in slippery conditions and they have great tread wear.
I know these wern't on your list but just my .02 worth.

Just a comment, his poll indicates the Dueler A/T 'Revos' and not the regular Dueler A/Ts.

Most people have experience with regular Dueler A/Ts as the 'Revos' are a new product. The only reviews for the 'Revos' that I have read have been from Thai (from ODW) & Dave (Nrgetic99). Thai returned his due to uneven wear and Dave appears to link them.

I will most likely go with the tried and true regular Dueler A/Ts when funds permit.

If you want the best "all around" tire, no one can beat Japan. Go with the Toyo's. They are going to give you the best mileage and wet weather handling along with the best on-road ride. I was in the snow today in a Tundra that has them and they performed flawlessly. Remember that they are not a very aggressive tread pattern. They are not for serious off-roading. If off-roading is not a priority, they the Toyo is far and away the best choice.

Hi all!.

I'm still looking for the new tire. I was reading all the review on the Tire Rack....The Dueler AT and Dueler AT REVO...most people agreed on dry road condition driving is good but horroble on Wet and snow condition(For REVO, There is none mention for snow, cux this one just afew month ago.. came out) plus wears show after 12~15K...I'm confused.

here is one of example;

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tire: Bridgestone Dueler A/T D693
Performance Categories: ORAT
Vehicle: All
Driving Styles: All
Driving Conditions: All

Vehicle: 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4wd Xtra Cab
Location: Nelliston, NY
Driving Style: Average
Driving Condition: Mostly On Road
Reviewer's Overall Ratings: 6.11 out of 10
Review Submitted 2002-10-15

I found these tires to be OK on dry pavement. Very poor in any type of snow. Even in 4WD I lost traction. On more than one occaision needed to use 4 Wheel Low to get out of moderately deep snow. I am talking 6-8 inches of loose snow. Poor bite on downhill slopes. I would not recommend for any type of off road ventures.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can Anyone access the Consumer report and send me recent review on AT Tires Please?

Thank you.

I have used the BFG A/T's before i got my BFG M/T's and i would definitely recommend the bfg A/T over you other choices. For the money i don't think they can be beat.
