Angry I need Help bad Starting!???

well i just did a a tune-up on my truck new spark plugs, wires, button, air filter injector cleaner, new clutch, and 4 235/75 r15 bf goodrich mud comps nearlly $1000 and now my truck is not starting? its got nearlly 230,000 miles on it and had no sign of falure till i did this? ran strong had a good time in the mud on the hills and in the rocks. but now im hating my truck its the 3.03vze 5-speed 1990 4runner. ok well back to the topic on hand i know its not electrical and i seem to be getting enough gas but it dosent want to start.

could it be my timing? if so how hard is it to replace the belt how much should it cost? i mean if this dosent work i be at toyota buying a new taco xtra cab 4x4 v6 but i dont want to yet so help me out! please!

Better go back and check those new plugs, wires, etc. Also check to see if your air filter cleaning just moved some gunk around, and make sure you re-connected everything properly after replacing the clutch - could be your neutral start switch.

Definately go over the plugs and wires, you might have gotten a bad one from the shop. Have you tried doing the clutch button start? just throw it in neutral, and try it that way. I know my truck won't start unless the clutch is ALLLLL the way down, so maybe there is too much play at the end of the pedal and so you can't start it, or something along those lines, maybe even in the wiring like mtnfreak said.

I highly doubt its timing since this happened only after your tune up. Maybe you put the wires on in the wrong order?? Have you checked that yet? I don't know how the shop vac could have done anything, unless it somehow disturbed a sensor, that would be strange though, since air is constantly rushing over it anyway. Check to make sure all plug wires are connected snuggly on the distributor and on the plugs and that they are go to the right cylinders.

The only way I think timing could have gotten effected was if you turned the motor to get something in the tranny to match up, but does someone else know if that would even throw off timing?

I agree, I would focus on the firing order and ensure it is correct.
