I need clarification on something...

I have a 95 with downey HD's. I'm replacing my current shocks (Doetsch Tech's) with the EdelBrock shocks. They're standard length vs. 2 inches longer like my others. . I want just a smidge more lift. So I'm fixing to buy some 1 inch spacers for my coils, and I'll just crank up my T-bars as needed. My question is this...What ill effects will I have with a standard length shock?
Any explanation would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Nice write up Baja. Thanks for the assistance!
I ordered my shocks Monday, and was told Thursday or Friday. But unfortunately "no shocks when I got home from work"
Oh well maybe next week. Thanks again
