i got my rear lights tinted
today i got all my rear lights tinted. got them done here in local shop. they took off all my lights and reflectors, prepped them, painted them, and then reinstalled them. for just $250. not bad huh? what they do is mix black auto paint and clear coat, and then use a spray gun to paint them. after applying the paint, they bake them to dry the paint. they even taped off my reverse lights. it's hard to see at night backing up since i have limo tint. here's some pics.

i was referred to them by this shop that does stereo, tint, and acessories. the shop i got them done by is a collision shop that deals in high end automakers such as mercedes, ferrari, lambo, and porshe. there also known to custom fabricate. alot of the local pro athletes go to them to get things done. my connection there gave me a tour. he showed me a 6 series bmw with lambo doors they fabbed for this basketball player. oh yeah, and i just did the rear only. didn't want to dim my head lights.

Looks pretty cool...
But this is for color matched tinting right, not just smoking them?
I remember back in the days I use to smoke tail lights or transparent cherry red tail lights using those model car spray paints... They were only $5 a can. A buddy of mine has a compressor with an airgun and he used the regular paints and it came out really nice...
For $250, they better be damn good and used high quality paint...
