Talking How much for your tacoma

I went test driving new tacomas today v6 and 4cyl. I will probably get the 4cyl if i get a new one. I was wondering after everyones wheeler dealing what is the best price range i should expect to get to. PS(selling my 4runner if any interested). The dealer told me he could probably get around 2 grand max trade for my 4runner. i will be putting a thousand down also. Sticker on the 4cyl was like 19,000 and the v6 was like 23,000. I am a very pickey car shopper so i will haggle for the best price. Would appreciate some input. Thanks.

Go take a look at www.edmunds.com and do some research first. Get yourself a print out of the options you want and it will also have what the stealer paid for the options/truck. Arm yourself with some knowledge and he will be shaking in his boots.

Move to the next dealer if they aren't willing to research anything for you. I say spend more on the TRD package for sure. You can easily get $4k off of sticker price if you work with them. Remember, if you trade they might give you more for your trade but still make you pay sticker for the Taco. Bargain without the trade first.

Sticker on my 97 with 153k miles was $12.9k I paid $9.5, probably too much but it was IMMACULATE, and ran perfectly-still does at 185k!

I'm 99.9% sure that they aren't. Are you looking at a 4wd or Prerunner ?

Will only buy one if it is 4wd and manual transmission. V6 or 4cyl depends on what i can find in my price range.

The E-lockers are available (or atleast they use to be) on 4Cyls, but only with Manual Transmissions. but they are Very Very rare, almost to the point that they don't exist.

Hmm.. I got my DC ltd for $23.9 loaded with everything except VSC. Sticker price was like $28k, if I remember correctly.

The best way I found was to email the fleet managers, of several different dealerships, with exactly what you want and ask for their bottom line.

i think ive decided on a used tacoma now. depends on my payments whether i will get a v6 or 4cyl. I like them both anyways, and since i just got my wife a new tiburon gt a few months ago i might be better off with the used one. im planning to spend around $13000. hopefully there are some good ones available when i sell my runner.
