The VIN plate should show the GVW (the most it should weigh loaded). I didn't know it would show the empty weight

My FJ40 weighs just over 4K empty

Anyone know where I could go to weigh my truck? I've been interested to see exactly how much all the stuff in my canopy weighs.

I'm curious too.
I tried to weigh mine at a truck stop where they do the inspections, they said no.

take it to your local public landfill. they have scales there you can find the weight on.

I have weighed mine at the hiway scales. When the scales are closed (no cops weighing semi's), I will park on the scale, look in the window and read the weight.

Last time I weighed mine it was 4660 lbs. with a 4800 lb. GVWR:

Look in your local yellow pages for "Public Scale" and that should list any local scales that you can get your truck weighed at. I did mine at a local place that used to be an ice cream factory and is now a truck driving school. They have a scale there and will give you a printed ticket with front and rear axle weights and a total for about $8.00.

As mentioned, landfills and recycling places are other options.

Lumber yards are another possibility, since they sell gravel and stuff by weight. That's where I got mine weighed at 3675 with the top off (racing mode)

Any place that sells dirt or other landscape materials in bulk by the lb could tell you too.
