Rubbing alcohol is what I used to get that crap off of my windshield. The stuff works great for beading the water when you don't have the wipers on but as soon as they are on its a streaky mess. I can't stand the stuff. anyways the alcohol got some of it off.

My Runner came with the PIAA blades and I was actually impressed and I'm a believer in Rain-X and I have no complaints here.

Cream wax? Let it haze up and buff off.

Yes, it is annoying. If I get a new windshield to replace my current cracked one, I won't use any Rain-X on it.

The only time my wipers chirp is when I'm on that borderline between using the wipers and dealing with a few rain spots. If yours are chirping more than that, look at the blades and make sure there isn't anything stuck to them (tree sap, road tar, etc).

Rubbing compound will take it of. After that if you want the rain to bead off as it hits put a good coat of wax on it.
