How to fix this?

I'm sorry but I don't know what this is called so I took a picture. Here's the deal. It is a foamy rubber tube-like thing that insulates the door when shut. It goes all the way around the door opening, and mine has become torn up along the bottom from my getting in and out of the truck. Because of the material it is made out of, I'm sure others have had to replace this piece...anyone? Where can I find a replacement?

You have it right, it the door seal. Check the scrap yard or dealer. It just slides on to an edge.

yep, door seal. Try any of the aftermarket parts supplier, NAPA, Partsource, Pepboys, Autozone, etc. Im sure the Dealership can get it for you, but I'll bet at twice the price of the aftermarket guys. Your call. 1eye.

Yeah, mine's all tore up, too. Even the paint below the seal has been worn off. Gotta replace the seal and get one of those plastic covers.

DONT go aftermarket. You think your factory one didn't last long, try using that aftermarket junk.

CHEAP; see *lesser quality*

Try a local wrecking yard, or the dealership. Then you know for 100% sure that it will fit, the first time, and seal right. Imagine how annoying that leaky seal is going to sound at 60. Trust me, i know...all my stuff is 21 yrs old on my 86, and all the door seals leak and hiss like muthas.

i had the exact problem but i am cheap after dumping $5,400 into the wiring so i just taped it with a piece of 2" wide electrical tape. It seals nicely and i no longer have mud splashing through the cracks in my door seals..

Go here, e-mail them and tell them what you need, they will most likely have the best price....for OEM.
