HOw do I remove the decals on my runner?

IS there a thread explaining the proper way to remove the decals from my 4runner (the stripes on the side?) I only know using a hair dryer and peeling it off with my fingernails. Which I think will take forever to do.
Thanks.

i bet there is. a couple guys here have done it. im sure if you do a search youll be able to find something. i think theres no way around using a hair dryer and peeling it back yourself.

yes, the hair dryer or a heatgun will do the trick, and use little bit of those goof-off(or any tar remover) to take off the excess and make sure you wax that part double coat. It will look like it was never there. i've just done this last week. This is assuming that we're talking about the pinstripe sticker. or sticker-type decal, not the ones that's painted. Hope this helps

body shop might have what you need.

body shops use an eraser that goes on a drill and will take off the decals.Paint supply shops should have them.

Pinstripe decal removal

Man, I just did this about a month or two ago. I got a "new to me" black 2000 SR5 that had some lamo white pinstripe down each side. It looked terrible!!!

I got out a needle and some tweezers on a hot, sunny day and began. I used the needle to prick up the edges, grabbed it with the tweezers and pulled each piece right off. It was easy and it made my rig look 1000% better! Then I immediately washed my rig and used some bug and tar cleaner to get off the sticky residue left behind by the pinstriping. Worked like a charm!

Stealerships use that pinstripe junk to jack up the price and add to their commission because it certainly doesn't add to the looks of the vehicle!

Hope this helps!
