Highlander vs. Tacoma

What's wrong with this picture:

Highlander:
Curb Weight: 3935
Gross Weight: 5360

Tacoma:
Curb Weight: 4100
Gross Weight: 5450

Doesn't it seem as if the Tacoma's a little light? If only they would have bumped up the gross weight about 550 pounds.

Considering the shape, I'm kinda surprised the taco weighs that much. Are we talking 05 taco though, that would make more sense.

Huh? Which Taco is that the weight for? The double 4x4?

My single cab 4x4 Taco weighs 3,300lbs., IIRC..

That's for the double cab. It just looks weird parking them next to each other. Especially the new double cab.

I figured Tacomas would weigh in the 3500lb range but I guess there's more to them than I thought but to weigh a little more than 4000lbs surprises me.

Is it the 05 or 04 and past models? Ext. cab V6 prerunners/4x4's are suppose to weigh around 3600 or 3800. I read on it somewhere, but I dont remember if it was a prerunner or a 4x4. Most likely a prerunner...judging by the single weighing 3300.

yeah her Highlander is lifted, locked, and has enough suspension travel to clear the largest veggies in Santa Maria!

Both are 2005 models. The Highlander is the Limited 4x4. The Tacoma is the heaviest double cab I saw on Toyota's site.
