Man, those things do throw out some light. How was the installation? It would be nice to see your cutoff against a building or something to judge how they perform. I might be adding these to my short list of mods too.

hah nice. I dont notice a difference between your hi/lo beams. which is why I only put the plug n play kit in my truck. It's pretty crazy how bright these things are. especially if you have an older truck

Those are legal I take it? Did you modify the housing or just stick them in?

well technically speaking no HIDs are "legal" but you can lower them to the ground more and they wont be blinding.

I hope I don't see you when I'm in SA next month. Because if I do and your lights blind me as much as I think they will I won't hesitate to veer at you into the oncoming lane.

lol ya the highs and lows are hard to see a difference in the pics but u can definitely tell in person. They do not blind oncoming traffic... i used my gf's civic and drove and up and down the street to see how bad it was and well after some adjustments its not bad at all.

No i just put them in without having to modify the housing and well i do plan on getting some G1 projectors but dont have the money right now and im waiting til i get and ARB bumper or something similar.

As for why dont i get it right now, i have a 10 month old and im a college student so most of my money has to go towards tuition and daycare. I will get the projectors eventually and replace this kit with a low kit only... Well i dont have ''''4150 to spend right now and i paid a total of $60 shipped to my door so i cant complain about the price vs the $150+ itll cost once i get my projectors and HID kit.

No way?! You mean like aftermarket kits or what? Don't like Audi's and BMW's and such come with them, they are legal right?

I love HID's... I got the HID offroad lamps, and oh man... they are great when in the desert at night. Love them! I'd be stoked to have them for city driving, but I wouldn't wanna piss anyone off...especially those guys in the black and white cars

ok so HIDs are legal only if they came factory with the cars... anything that is aftermarket then is no longer considered "legal" but there are thousands if not millions of ppl driving with aftermarket HIDs and cops havent really done much these days as long as theyre not super bright and blinding.

Ya i love my HIDs in the city granted i will still be getting alot of junk from guys on here bout it not being in a projector but for the time being it suits me needs well. I have checked several times to make sure im not blinding ppl and i have yet to get flashd on city roads or on the highway.

The cops near my house are the biggest DBs since they give out more tickets in a 3-5 mile stretch then all of San Antonio and i drove passed the cops several times and have yet to get pulled over by them. THe way i see it is that if the cops near m house havent pulled me over then i should be fine.

Don't they have yearly mechanical inspections in TX? If they do, I'm sure there is a guideline for checking beam pattern.

ya they have inspections, typically they just check to make sure the highlights both turn on and that the lows and highs work properly.
