Hiccups and stumbles???

I'll be cruising down the road when all of a sudden I get a little hiccup or stumble from the engine. This has been happening a little more regularly within the last few weeks. It only lasts a fraction of a second. It's like the engine just cuts out. Revs don't change that I can see. It only seems to happen at times when I'm very lightly applying the throttle. I thought that maybe the gas has a bit of moisture in it since it is that time of year so I did put some methyl hydrate in the gas but I'm wondering if I put in enough.
Anyone have any suggestions?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? I'd check that first. Then the MAF, plugs, and wires. But it just sounds like it's not getting fuel.

I haven't changed the fuel filter in the year and a half that I've owned it. It's a good idea though, who knows when it was last replaced.

Yeup..I bet that's the culprit. Toyota OEM parts only.

I have the same problem, but mine will also buck like a bronco. There was a thread a while back where we came to the consensus that its the injectors as well. My plan is to nurse it along with regular treatments of Seafoam, and then try to have my injectors rebuilt and to replace my fuel filter when I have the cash/time.

FYI: I don't get any "check engine" lights or anything like that either. Idles smoothly. It's just very sporadic. I drove around alot today and it never happened.

I'm still suspecting that there is water in the gas.

Well I finally got around to changing out my fuel filter yesterday and, I have to admit, it definitly is running a bit better. While accelerating at WOT it used to feel slightly restricted (that's the best way I can describe the feeling), but now there seems to be a little more punch and it's alot smoother to boot.

Thanks to all for the tips and advice on the matter!
