Help....Im a noob (sorta).
If I were to get the OME 906 Rear Coil Set and the OME 881 Front Coil Set, approximately 2 inches of lift, would I need anything else
. I plan to also get the N91SC "Comfort" Front Shock Set and the OME N86C Rear Shock Set about two months after I get the springs. Would I need new sway bars, or anything else at all??!?! Its a 98 Limited 4x4.

Yes, you should be fine. You are underestimating the capability of your 4runner, in stock form it is very capable.
Try the search button, and spend some time on here. You'd be amazed what you can find.

This is a very similar question to what i have been wondering.
I am going to basically do the same thing as you (just different parts, OME 890's in back and 2.5 inch coil spacers up front)
Stock Shocks
I have had a hard time deciding if i should replace the shocks or not. I havn't really got a definite answer... so hopefully someone will touch on that for you

you don't need to replace you shocks but more likely than you probably still running on the tired stock stuff so it would be wise to do it all at once. Why pay for labour twice if you have to change them later down the road anyway.

im doing the labor myself.... so when i get the money i will change out the shocks. But for the time being, it is way more cost effective as long as they won't get damaged. I also don't know if they have ever even been changed.

The rear is not a big deal, but if you're going to compress the front coils yourself, you'll only want to do it once, trust me. Especially with a heavier duty coil like OME or the tundra coil. It's not fun with compressors.

When I did my lift I found it a good time to replace my shocks, atleast the fronts since I was gettin up there in mileage and piece of mind. It was my first time using a spring compressor and I could see why it would be dangerous, but with the right tools and working slow it took about a half hour to compress both coils and install my spacers. I agree though on the heavier load springs. I also used a mounted bench vice to hold it all in place while compressing. I run 285/75/16 Mt's with my 2.5 lift on my 97' Rrunner.

coil compressing scared me on my tacoma. I am thinking about having someone else install my lift next time just so I dont have to mess with those again. i ran a 2.5" kit on my tacoma and left my stock shocks on. they worked fine, but then again there was only about 4,000 miles on the truck. Good luck.
