Ok, I'm thinking LIFT...I'm thinking 2" or so..not much more...and I am a complete greeny, newbie, idiot...whatever you want....so if I may ask a few Q's....

What is the best way to go about this?
What is the cheapest?
Will I need to do anything with the CV joints or Ebrake or tranny?

but i'll tell ya this to get you started: it depends on how you're gonna use your truck on what lift you should get. body lift will be cheapest. if you're gonna wheel it, a suspension lift would be the better first choice. in the case of a suspension lift, most don't go above 2.5 inches because of potential cv problems. but still, a diff drop (revtek makes one) is a good idea to help out those axles.

 

The only way to point for a bodylift

 

Definately the cheapest is a body lift.
If you are going to use it offroad you could consider the suspension upgrade too.

I just got my coil spacers on, and I love it. My truck takes bumps much better now. No more bottoming out or rub. Recommended. And cheap, seems like someone here is always selling some.

 

Coil spacers seem to be a good way to go. You can also see if Mike (XtremeOff-Road on the board) can hook you up. I will be doing my 4th Gen soon, I'm lifting more in the front than the rear to level it out a bit. It seems people with '98 (3rd gen ?) lift a bit more at the back for sagging. ANy 3rd gen guys can help out?

 

If you're suspension lifting 2" do the Diff drop too

 

Now, I'm trying to figure out if the trucks gonna look goofy with 2" of sus lift and the stock 32" tires- ANYONE got a picture link to a said 3rd generation ? thanks, Å

There is some sag from the winch in the first pic
Here is a current pic. The only difference is that I put a 2" BL and 1.5" cornfed spacer in the front to compencate for the heavy winch and to fit the 305/70s (33x12.5)

 

Hyperlite = are those stock 32" tires pictured? (first pic) - if so - it looks FINE with a small lift and 32"s!
