Help find a home for this wayward vacuum hose
I haven't been able to find a home for this vacuum hose coming off the charcoal canister (2000 Tacoma, 2.7). The hose connects to a hard line and then goes back to a rubber vacuum line that looks like it wants to connect somewhere close to the wheel well. Not sure if it has been off since I bought the truck two months ago or if it just popped off recently when I changed the fuel filter. Consulted the Haynes manual and some diagrams online and all I have been able to come up with is that it is labeled as an air drain hose. Any help would be much appreciated!

On my '99 4Runner that hose goes on a plastic nipple that is set into a hole in the frame, so that it vents to the inside of the frame rail. Huh?

Ah that would make sense, the hose naturally flows into the frame the way it is designed. I think that's why I was so confused in the first place. Looking for anywhere other than the frame to plug it into and yet all along that's where it wanted to go!
