Help! Check engine light after type "O" mod
My rig's check engine light came on after i installed the type "O" gasket on the throttle body. Any ideas on what's wrong with it? I rest the battery but it came back again after 10 miles of driving. Thanks.

The problem's solved. It was a vacuum leak due to one hose underneath the throttle body not being connected. I didn't see it when i reinstalled because it was directly underneath and i didn't disconnect it on purpose. It was disconnected when i was pulling out the throttle body. Here is a pic of the culprit.
Again, thanks a lot for all your help. Yotatech rocks!!!!

when i installed the O gasket my rpm's jumped about 500, and from past experiences with making my truck idle higher i got a check engine light , the high idle tripped a sensor and threw a CEL. when i installed my O gasket i just adjusted the throttle cable to lower my idle.

Once on my truck when I installed a trottle body adapter two years ago (and didn't find it until Dr. Z spotted it in a picture - ALMOST A YEAR LATER!). Then it happened again - this time by accident - when I installed an O gasket on FunRunner's truck.
