Question Heater Core replacement...Any clues, tricks, tips?

Howdy,

I'm new to the board and Toyotas. I don't have a tricked out rig or anything, just a 93 2wd base p/u w/ a 22RE. I believe my heater core has gone gunny bags on me, judging from the water on the floor and the lack of it in the radiator, and no heat.

So, how do I get to the heater core? I

I know this sounds pretty basic, but I'm a Ford guy so have pity on me please.

Thanks a bunch,

Pat Fitzgerald

I'm in the same position. 'cept I still have heat and the leak I have is only a pin hole in size. I've been meaning to get around to fixing it but I wan't a good couple of days set aside to do it just because I heard it was a B#%@$ to do.

Welcome newbie. Its got to come out from inside the cab. You remove the glove box and tear apart your heater till you get to it. Obviously you have to drain the coolant and undo the hoses from the firewall also. I hope to never have to do it, sounds like a PITA from what the manual says.
