trailers

i dont see what makes that trailer so expensive. you can make one for way cheaper. make a trailer, get some bigger springs for some lift and bigger tires... add a couple of brackets and you're set. what's the point of putting mud tires on those things anyway?

WOW!....those really look cool too! Just one more thing to spend the hard earned money on.....the mods never stop. Who was it....I think Rojer Brown pointed out that 4x4 in caps is $X$.

Redtoy, that is nice. I really do need a trailer when it's time for a Jambo.
I had a hard time taking stuff a year ago June. Not much room in the rig.
Something like that, and I can bring a lot of firewood too.

Beowulf, did you and Redtoy see my post last week?

That is a sharp trailer too. The one you posted here is nice too.
If only they both came with the Aussie lass

I wish I still had my '89 tent trailer. Bought it brand new, and the kids & I used it on average of 10 times per summer.
had to sell it after I moved out of my house I had.

Think got vandelized where I live now.

yeah those are pretty sweet... but $3,000+ is a lot of mods... one of those trailers would be great if you camped way out in the boonies down some washed out road though.

It looks like something military-like. Very cool idea. I like how everything is right there for you, convenient. Very nice! :fireman:

Sometime when I get the money/skills/time to do it, I will find an old 2wd Toy with major front end collision, buy it for cheap, and then cut the frame at the cab and make the bed into a trailer. That would be sweet!

I bought that Flagstaff brand new in '89 for $4K.
It's made by the Ohmish right down the road from Jayco who makes great RV's.

Some of the Jayco workers left and started up Flagstaff from what I had heard.

It was a very good RV, and I hated to get rid of it.
Of course I modded it too

I put in a 3 way sink hand pump. The stock one was pump, and also hooked upto water at the camp.

I put in a new handle and 12v pump so we did not have to pump it, even when dry camping without hookup.

Put a full length mirror on the door, and a lot of custom stuff.
Jim's wife even made me a custom seat cover to go over the Sears porta potty

Yeah, I wish I still had it. Sold it for $1.8K, not to bad for selling it in '96. Got almost half of what I paid for it.
