Good rain/weather deflectors?

Been seeing a lot of 4Runners on the road with those rain/weather guards, and was thinking about picking up a set.

However, I'm not sure what brand is good. I've seen some that attach w/ 3M tape, then other that lock into the window channel.

Wondering if you had a set if you don't mind giving your opinion about them along with cost.

Thanks!

Lund or AVS make them. I installed the ones on my pickup and the 3m tape sticks to the rubber window trim(not the paint which is nice) and then is tucked into the side mirror mount by loosening the mount, inserting the end of the rain gaurd, then putting the mirror back on. Those were AVS but I can't remember how much I paid for them... I think under $90 CAD for the set (including extra-cab windows). I imagine the 4Runner rear doors have the same rubber moulding as the front doors.

I am pleased with the type mentioned above, as they didn't touch my paint and the bond is very tough.

I wouldn't touch 'em because I'm constantly in heavy bush. Something to think about if you do the same...

I went to WeatherTech search it online... if you have $500 layin around get the fitted rubber floor mats and cargo mat... best purchase i've made for the interior of the runner yet... high quality stuff and i can take them out and wash them down. I also got in the deal the front and rear window weather guards.. i like them, and i'm a trail rider but its also my DD. I want to pick up the weather guard for my sun roof, im not sure if weathertech has them or not. plus easy install all around.

I have some by Wade's that I bought from the Toyota dealer (paid too much but oh well). They're nice. They fit in the window molding, as opposed to 3M stick-on tape. I've had both types and give this review:

Pros of 3M stick-on: will not strain power window motor or interfer with "anti pinch" feature when using auto window roll up.

Con of 3M stick-on: look like crap, easily torn off

Pros of window channel type: look good, will not come off easily

Cons of window channel type: harder to install, can trip the "anti-pinch" feature of power windows, sometimes can damage the power window motor.

I have the AVS 3M foam stick on type. They were on my rig since it was bought brand new from the dealer. 11 years later they are still securely stuck on there. IMO they look great.
