Good GAWD!!!

The 2003 4Runner should be renamed -- Toyota 4Walker, Urban -Soccer Mom - Grocery Getter - Speed Bump Crawler - Saturn Vue look a like. What a disgrace that Toyota caved in and allowed the best SUV out there to be morphed into what the rest of the other "urbanized" cluster of suv's look like. This thing has Soccer Mom written all over it!

I think the value of my 93 Runner just went up in price. Along with all you other guy's Runners. Hang on to 'em boys. As the old saying goes.... "They don't make 'em like they use to."

Judging by the pic, of a rating of 1 to 10 and 10 being the best, I give it a 3. My advice to Toyota ----->

I agree with you. I wish they made them look differently. Maybe is enough people complain, they will change them around! Boy, we can only hope! :fireman:

They as a carmaker are doing what they think they should be doing. Making their car/trucks look "retro" and new and differet, but sooner or later, they will all look so retro, the "plain" will look better than the new. as is the case with the 4runner. I think the Maxima has done the same thing. (not quite as bad though...)

I think the new 350Z turned out pretty damn nice! Everyone here is pre-sold. I see 'em on the Nissan lot every Friday we work there. Just talked to a guy who works at Toyota here...said cops to one look at the new '03 Runner, and are buying up the '02's. I guess they have some taste...just don't pull me over!

2003 4Runner

I totally agree! Sometimes Toyota takes their "refinements" too far into the mainstream of suburbia. I remember my 85 Supra had the same affliction... as things changed on the newer versions it got further and further away from it's initial concept as a fun, affordable sports car. But hey, isn't that engine kinda familiar? He, he!
As for me, I'll keep my 95 4Runner for quite some time thank you very much!

Yes, the 2003 looks lower and gayer than previous 4Runners.

Just keep building what you have to be what you want and quit your bitchin!! :cartman:
