Anybody have any good places (cheap) other than stealer to get standard chrome emblems, so I can get rid of the dated gold emblems on by 98 limited. I am looking for front, rear, and side emblems. Thanks in advance.

 

i did the same thing on my '99 limited but had to go through the dealer to get them...

 

i think i am going to order the black pearl emblems, i'll PM you if i do. I assume i can remove them without damage.

 

just use a hairdryer, heat the emblems and remove them with dental floss.

as for emblems, try ebay.

 

Rearviewmirror - Are yours off a limited? If so let me know if you buy them, and how much $$$$$ you would like for the ones you have.

 

I had to get rid of the gold emblems on my 96 and replaced them with chrome from a local dealer. But I called around to 3 or 4 different dealers to get the best price. Not hard to do at all. The front grille emblem was the easiest for me.

 

Do the gold emblems indicate that the vehicle is a Limited Edition, or is it just bling crap the dealer put on to drive up the price?

 

Purely bling. My LTD has the chrome.

 

Gold emblems were on the white/silver LTDs for a couple years and they aren't put on by the dealer,that's just how some of them came.
