Gift from the brown santa
Well, I just got the sonoran steel #3 suspension kit. Yes, it's not the ss 7 (would've been nice) like most people get but keep in mind $$ has to be there first (plus, I want to save up for a locker and a bud built front skid plate). If I decide later to change it up I will.
Anyhow, I'm hoping to get it installed this weekend. I called a few places today to what they would would charge. Big O quoted me at $65 an hour (6 hrs. total to install). I'm going to check a few more places in the morning otherwise I'm going to have a family friend help me out.

x2! Take my truck for example...
I'm sure Brian would be a much happier man if he knew he would never have to work on my truck again

Do it yourself! I just did mine a few months ago, it was a piece of cake provided that you spray down the nuts and bolts with PB blaster. Also save your self some time and frustration and have a shop assemble the front struts.

I just said screw it and I had pep boys install it. I didn't fell like doing it out in this heat and the last time I did suspesion work I goofed it up (put something on backwards).

Give me sometime unless you want parking lot pictures.
I forgot to mention that I forgot to take the warranty paperwork out of the box that had the shocks in it.

I got to try it out last night on a run with the Yuma 4wheelers. It didn't bounce me around like my old suspension did and feels more solid (no pictures. It was night time. ). The guys at pep boys who installed it really liked the suspension parts.

I hear you there. I finally put in my 3rd with a lockright on Friday. Of course, me being me, I also decided I just had to re-do the rear brakes while I had it apart... and then well I might as well change the front calipers as long as the brake hydraulics had already been opened yada yada. Anyways, I was out in the garage from 8a to 2p and again from 8p to 10p and I lost 3 pounds, despite drinking about 3 gallons of water.
And oh yeah

I just installed System 3.0 from Steve aswell. Took me a little over 4 hrs because I had to cut the rear shocks off. Too much rust after 10 years to get the top nut off. I brought the struts to a local shop here that has a wall mount compressor. Took 10 minutes and $30 out of my pocket. Well worth it in my opinion. The rest was very easy as I expected. No broken parts, and I still have all the skin on my knuckles!!
