Gearing Question for a '95 Runner
I've got a '95 4Runner with the stock 31" rt/s's and i'm tryin to figure out what my gear ratio is. My understanding is that they change the gearing if you get the larger stock tire package but I'm not positive what it is. Any of yall know for sure?

Double Ditto. I have a '95 Manual, came with 31's stock Gearing ratio is 4.56. For even more info check out www.4x4wire.com/toyota/faq/vin

i'm getting ready to move up to 32's in the next couple months so i'm expecting more loss of power and gas mileage, but this doesn't warrant regearing yet does it? I figure if i ever went to 33's i'd prob. regear but not just with 32's. how much does regearing normally cost by the way, say going from 4.88 to 5.29?

Most shop wants 250-300 per diff parts extra.
You can save money by pulling the thirds yourself but the front is tougher than the rear.
btw, don't buy gear from 4wp. life time warranty but not the labor....you will be going back again....
