Gearing in 3rd Gen Runner
What is the best gearing to change to for a '97 3rd gen 4Runner? I don't even know what is in it right now, but I am running 285, 75 16's right now and I have lost a lot of power and gas milage. It is a 3.4L auto. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I have 265/75/16's and went to 4.30's from 4.10's. My MPG actually went down (data collected for quite a while now).
(-.5 MPG on average)
If I am not mistaken, 4.56 is ideal to get your power back with those tires. Someone chime in if I am wrong please.
