For the cig lighter I had to make the socket wider so the bulb would fit in there.

Haha it shouldn't be that bright, at least not bright enough to where the light would shine out on you.

I ordered from all three websites posted before, alumination, superbriteleds, v-leds. Figured id shoot for the new dome lights as well. Also I got that snake led thing to strip the wires for the cig lighter and rig up that led to replace the broken one. Ill post pics after I install all during spring break. (around the 15th). thanx for all the info pdyebrasil

oh also what would you recommend to change the blinkers? I would like to take the dash apart again and replace the green lenses for blue ones but have no idea what I could replace the green plastic with. I would leave in the original bulbs without the rubber green peice. Maybe some plastic blue film?

I just used blue LEDs in the turn signals and they worked great, you can't see any of the green

Yeah I've got blue 74 tri-pod LED's in my turn signals as well. I removed the green covering though. They kind of blind me when they flash too. lol

I also just put blue LEDs in the blinkers and left the green plastic, and it looks pure blue when lit up.

Did anyone put those "inverted" kind of cone looking LED's in their dash in stead of those more expensive 5led side shooting ones?

My guess would be that your gauge lighting is 74, and your HVAC controls are neo-wedge. You'll have to take them out to find out what they arwe. That's what I had to do...

You'll get a lot of hot spots if you use those. I used to have the 5LED side shooting ones and I still had very minor dead spots where there was little light.

IIRC, 74s work for the turn signals, 4WD, Cruise, etc. and the 194 for the actual dash part.

dang, wish I would have asked that before I ordered all the other ones haha. Dont really want to pay for shipping for 2 leds. (already got 3 packages coming in). Good 2 know that they take 74's though. Maybe ill end up with a few not needed and just throw some red led's in the blinkers.

Also the dome lights for front and back, I just have to pop off the hole pastic peice with a screw driver, right?

ok i just got in my 3 74 tri power blue lights in. i figured id put in the one in the shifter. the bulb was WAAAYYYY to loose but i managed to somehow get it into place. i have a hotspot on the P as it dosent even light up. Is it possible i got shipped 3 of the wrong size bulbs? The factory size bulb base looked to be twice the size of the one i got in. for what its worth on the shipping box adress there is a 3/24 to the far left of my name.

i got the bulbs thru autolumination

You have to take the center trim piece off and to pull the whole piece off there is a bulb above the ash tray you have to yank out.

And the key ring is reachable once you get the center trim piece out and find the wires and yank it out too.

and brian, if i just take the 74 out of my shifter and use it with my other two 74 bulbs should that be good enough to look like your gauges? and have you had any problems with them being loose?
