Does anyone know how to get to the back of the gas latch on a 3rd gen runner? The nut on the inside of my fuel door must have rattled lose and when I pulled the lever it must have pulled it back into the body someplace. The hole it was in is way to small to get into.

 

Does anyone know how to get to the back of there? I dont think it is accessible from the outside, does anyone know if it can be reached from behind the interior trim? I really dont wana take it to the stealership if I dont have to.

 

Yes you have to take your interior trim off to access it. Its a PITA, but it can be done. Just remember, all parts that were INSTALLED, can be UNINSTALLED
