Funny thing this morning

I was on my way to work this morning and I put my 97 T4R into drive and it didn't move. I then gave it some more RPM's and it finally moved forward and made a loud popping noise. As I approached the stoplight it felt like a lot of drag on the car and like the brakes were on at all times. Finally the car was fine after a 1/4 or so. It seemed like the rear axle or brakes were stuck. Has anybody ever herd of or had simialr experiances.

Have you been driving in snowy conditions? It's common for the parking brake to get frozen on if you use it in those conditions.

I drove in some snow yesterday, but I never stopped or used the brake. I just drove over the mountain pass.

Thanks

one time last year, i was up at a local pass and was playing in some snowey puddles. the next morning i couldn't get her to move out all!!!

the the temps at your house go below freezing last night? if your brake lines are wet they could freeze.

Thanks for all the info, but the e-brake never came on and the temp was above freezing at my house all night. It can't figure it out and it seems a little strange.

Could you have the infamous leaking rear axle seals?
