Ok, I've had this issue since I bought the 4Runner last summer, but maybe someone knows how to fix it. My front left top blinker will not blink. I know the bulb is good, because the entire assembley has been replaced. Also, I beleive there is only one filiment in that bulb, and the bulb flashes when i hit my remote keyless, (so i'm pretty sure that it can light up)

The bottom blinker mounted right below it works fine.

My blinker is giong seizure speed, which happens when a blub is burnt out... but the bulb has been relplaced, and I need to know where to start to get it fixed (obviously not a big deal, but it would be nice to fix.)

 

check the realy? I think its over under the glove box....Im not sure.

 

I'm confused? Are you talking about the light next to your headlight w/ the 1/2 clear and orange lense? If so, those are your "running lights". They are not supposed to blink w/ or w/o your turn signal lights. They do flash w/ the remote and I thought they flash when you push your hazard button inside the vehicle, but other than that, they do not flash.

If we're on 2 different pages, let me know. I might be misreading this.

 

That isn't a blinker, it's a parking/running light! It won't flash no matter what you do for blinkers, but the alarm flashes your RUNNING lights, not your turn signals.

 

Ok, you were right... the top light DOESN'T blink (for some reason I was under the impression that it did).. But what IS weird is that the left side (DS) blinks fast like a marker is out. Both the front and back of both sides blink the same lights (with headlights off and headlights on)... But I was under the impression that the blinker blinks fast when a marker light is out

It could be one of the bulbs is on its way out, or the connection has gotten dirty making the clicker "think" it isn't there.

 

Well, I'll have to trick the 4Runner into thinking there's still a blulb there... I just hope it doesn't outsmart me first

 

If you install the wrong bulb or have a dirty contact it will do that.
