Friend's Mom seriously injuried in 4Runner rollover
#22
Terrible news. Thanks for spinning it in a positive way and helping others protect themselves.
My 95 Tacoma's front seat belt buckles have, with age, lost some of their spring, especially in cold weather. Every time I buckle up (and I do buckle up EVERY time I'm in the truck. Actually feel naked without it), I put the tongue in the buckle and yank on it a few times to make sure it's buckled securely. I have had it come out as a result of the red button being stuck halfway down or so in the buckle housing, (again, especially in sub-freezing temperatures). Maybe this is a Toyota issue in aging vehicles. It sounds as if some of you have had similar problems. Be safe out there. Yank on the buckle 2 or 3 times every time you buckle up.
