Anyone know a place (in the SF Bay Area) besides Auto Zone that will either read a code for free or loan/rent you a scanner?

I don't have an AutoZone nearby, and Pep Boys wants $89.95 to do it.

I got the CE light yesterday. I pulled the EFI fuse to reset it, but it has since come back on.

This happened once before to me, long before I started to mod anything. It happened on my way in to work, and I was on my way back up to the dealer to get it checked, and the light magically went out, all by itself. The garage said that sometimes that happens if you use low-quality gas (?).

I was low, so I filled up at Chevron and added some fuel injector cleaner too. Hopefully that's all it is.
