Question Anybody replace ball joints before???

If you have did you use the factory ones or aftermarket? I know the factory ones are sealed, which kind of sucks, but they have lasted for 10 years. I have used Moog brand before, which were greaseable, and were excellant quality. I buy the best part made, not the cheapest part.

Just looking for some ideas/experience before I buy some.

Mat

Had to change one on a friends 90 4Runner. We were working on the front diff and saw the ball joint was bad. I like the greaseable type. We got it at NAPA

I used Moog when I had to replace the ball joints on my old 94 Ranger. I ran those for 50k miles until I sold it and the ball joints were still good.

Best tool is a ball joint remover, which can be rented or bought. Others use more brutal methods to remove their joints.

Some joints need to be pressed in to place.

Energy Suspension is all I have experience with, and that was on a Civic. Not sure what they have for you. Good product though. Polyurethane is always good to go with.
