I recently purchased a '97 4runner with the left fog/driving light busted (but the other one is fine) The fog lights were factory installed and came with the car so they should be fine but the one foglight that is intact does not work. I checked the wiring and it is an independant circut (meaning one should light up even if the other lightbulb is out). I was wondering what could be going wrong? Could the relay have gotton wet and is not working or what? I checked all of the fuses and none of them are broken (unless there is one on the actuall wiring of the lights) and also the switch inside the car has a light that glows so i know the switch is geting power. I tested for power at the bulb and i wasn't getting any from what I could figure out (maybe i'm doing something wrong). I'm pretty novice in wiring so I could use the help if anyone has any idea. I am stressing over this badly because I hate it when I can't figure something out.....

I got them fixed...it turned out to be the fuse along the actual wiring of the switch. The fuse was actually what i thought was the relay and when i went to pull it out a yellow fuse was revealed and it was broken...after i replaced it everything was in working order....

 

kool did u get a new light for the one side ?
