Fog light adjustments

Hi all!

I just recently put on PIAA 520 fogs on my truck but don't know how to angle it. I tried to put it on straight but noticed what when I turn them on the street lights up EXACTLY as if I'd used my high beams.
Are the fog beams supposed to be flush with the projected headlights?
OR are they supposed to be up that high?

My instructions were lame and didn't include anything about angles of approach.

Thanks guys!

www.4x4connection.com has a pretty good selection of lights and tells you the differences.

Fog/Foul weather - looks to have wide beams to give you more peripheral vision.

driving - seems to be a long narrow beam that allows you to see much further down the road.

If I had these lights, I probably wouldn't use them unless there was bad weather or I was on a highway that had no street lights and no other cars were around.

Corey has a great piece in the tech section on Aux lights

Hope this helps.

Hi taco!

Your fogs should just point straight ahead. I just put some in and they do light up pretty similiar to my spots, but have a wider spread. The light dispersion is designed to penetrate fog better than the direct light. Shouldnt really use them when its not foggy as they blind the ##&* out of oncoming drivers. Most of the boy racers here have them on all the time. *&#holes
